Senses (June)

Seeing:
Car, University and bed. (Not always in that order.)
Smelling: My newly dyed hair.
Tasting: The tasteless. Water. Lots of it.
Hearing: The Walk by Imogen Heap (She's just wonderful. The song has about 40 interpretations)
Feeling: Like, the summer has lost its splendor.

Pondering:
Why the right thing to do, does not necessarily always feel right.

I'm Mrs Teapot...

In the life altering question of "tea or coffee?" I have often wondered where I stand. I enjoy both as time wasting beverage. Something to do until I have something to do. I enjoy discussions over coffee as much as I enjoy gatherings over tea. But, Lately I seem to be gravitating towards tea a whole lot more. It's simply more fascinating.

I love herbals and I seem to be collecting them from around the world. My tea shelf has the diversity of a Benetton ad. I don't think I can leave a supermarket without a new kind of tea.

White tea from China. (Dean & Deluca)
Green tea from Japan. (TSC)
Herbal fusions from Dr. Stuart. (TSC)

There's nothing I love more that relaxing with a hot cup of tea in the evening.

How could I resist?

It has everything.

A cheesy Indian theme.
Spanish lyrics.
And most importantly, the gorgeous Devendra Banhart.

and the winners are ...

My quest for the perfect perfume came to an end, yesterday. I was growing weary of my Coco Mademoiselle. I felt like I out grew it. Not age-wise, Chanel perfumes are forever. But, personality-wise. I wanted something more womanly, less girly.

I knew it would be a challenge because I was not a fan of the fruity or candy-esque scents, which seem to be oh-so popular nowadays. Britney Spears' Fantasy gives me a headache. I also, dislike the powdery scents. The perfumes that only last an hour, at best. So the criteria was: Floral/Musky, Concentrate (parfum not toilette), womanly but not overpowering. I want my scent to linger after I'm gone (left the room, not dead). But, not too powerful that people think I've been marinated overnight, like a chicken cutlet.

After a good 15 minutes and my nose begging for mercy, I found two. I couldn't decide between them. So I decided to have them both and work out a routine. Like, Day/Night or Summer/Fall
. Maybe I'll adjust them to my mood.

Notice, the creativity in hiding my indecisiveness.

Rose Essentielle by Bulagri (Floral)

Coco by Chanel (Musky)

I don't remember how or when I discovered him or Flickr for that matter.

Amazing. Expressive. Creative. Imaginative. Kuwaiti. Photography.

The simplicity of his concepts are beautiful.

I don't know who you are f.alhunaif. But, your photography blows my mind.
